Brisbane to Subic: Advice Sought

Am planning voyage to Subic Bay (Philippines) and would be very grateful to receive any firsthand experiences or reccommendations with regards to track to take. My thoughts are via north coast of New Guinea - Palau - ???? - Philippines probably to Cebu and from there up to Subic?

Would love to hear of experiences via West Irian and via Indonesia perhaps then to Palau???? Are fuel, water and provisioning available?
