On the night of 22 April off Kannyakumari, Cape Comorin, India's southernmost point more than ten persons in a fishing boat boarded the yacht Idle Vice of Kip. They stole the yacht's liferaft and left. Captain Paul Vincent made a police complaint. The authorities recovered the liferaft in an inflated condition with the survival pack including rocket flares missing, although it appears no attempt was made to investigate the incident further.
