We highly recommend a stay in Port Antonio on your way to Panama or Western Caribbean. The marina is safe, clean, with friendly staff. It provides a wonderful opportunity to explore Jamaica. We felt comfortable leaving our boat at the marina in order to go hiking throughout the country.
