Visit To Panjim, Goa

Thought other cruisers may want to know that Panjim, Goa is a full clearing in and out port. We visited a couple of weeks ago and had no problems. The port office, immigration and customs are spread all over the town but it's only a short and cheap taxi ride to these places. The officials were friendly and it was free! The town is good for victualling, the market was excellent and there are lots of cheap restaurants serving alcohol! The only problem we had was where to put the dinghy. The jettys are very unsafe (I fell through an unmarked hole in the concrete and ended up in the water 10 feet down).

We are now in Oman which is a very different story. Unfriendly officals demanding a lot of money but I will report back on this later.
