Brazil Cruising Update

We are anchored in front of the IATE CLUBE DE NATAL. This is a good anchorage and the club is open to visiting sailors. The club has good repair facilities for general repair, fuel, water, pool, showers and a good restaurant. Yacht up 10 m. have to pay 15 reais per day (6 Euros). Natal is a port of entry and the club office provides all necessary information. The anchorage on Rio Potengi is safe and the red and green buoys are easily found.

FERNANDO DE NORONA is a beatiful island but yachts have to pay a daily fee just toanchor there. The fee for a 56 ft yacht is 25 euro per day and 30 reais (12 euros) for each crew member. The price you pay is to preserve the nature of this incredibly beautiful island. The island has no facilities for yachts and the anchorage is uncomfortable instrong winds.

Pets: In Brasil the animals are welcome if they have all the vaccinations.
