Noonsite Celebrates Its Fifth Birthday

Five years since its launch on 3 December 2000, www.noonsite.com has become the most frequented global source of reference among sailors. From its modest beginning, Noonsite now attracts an average of one million hits per month.

Noonsite is now perceived as an unbiased source of reference and information both by sailors and government or media organisations. Noonsite has been described by the German yachting magazine Die Yacht (largest circulation in Europe) as the best sailing website on the internet, whereas Yachting World, the oldest yachting magazine in the world, has described Noonsite as “excellent”.

We are determined to continue this trend by making Noonsite the undisputed website for cruising sailors worldwide. In the near future we plan to add new subjects of interest to sailors, with new or expanded sections on sailing books, ocean routes and cruising rallies. New features for 2006 include: Port of the Month, in which we describe one major port on the most frequented cruising routes. This year we also plan to launch a Noonsite forum in which sailors can have their questions posted and dealt with by a global audience assisted by Noonsite’s experienced personnel.
