Rolf and Kate Drehler have set up a family run business R & D Yachting with a combination of German skills and Australian hospitality filling a much needed gap in the market place providing locally engineered RO watermaker systems.

Unlike many "Brand Name" units theirs are user friendly and are built with commonly available components. All products used are well established in the market place with many years of trouble free service. To add to that Rolf and Kate repair, modify and upgrade such systems as Spectra Watermakers and systems that operate with the same or similar technology.

Many a dollar can be saved if you can hold out until Langkawi for your watermaker needs whether it be a new installation or repairs and upgrades to your existing system. To qualify the savings a recent customer was faced with a bill of 500 Euro + for the replacement of two Spectra 12VDC pressure pumps. Rolf repaired and modified the system and had it fully operational for 108 Euros and reinforced the Clark pump for a further 60 Euros. In the owners words the system is now "rolfitted" and will now be 100% failure proof.

R & D Yachting is a true yachtie friendly business run by yachties. Whilst not running their busy engineering shop Rolf and Kate can be found on the end finger at The Royal Langkawi Yacht Club aboard their Endurance 35 yacht Snuggleputz. You may even find them at the yacht club bar enjoying a few sundowners after a hard days work.
