Indonesian CAIT NOT Available From East Timor

We have just visited East Timor and have been told that the Indonesian Embassy in Dili is happy to issue the CAIT (cruising security clearance for Indonesian Territories) for a fee of: $30.00 USD and will take seven days $65.00 USD and will take 24 hours! No need to apply beforehand etc, just arrive and they will issue.

We visited Timor Leste in the hope of getting CAIT via the Indonesian Embassy here, but learned that it is not possible. We have heard that other people have also tried recently to get CAIT here to no avail. This is written on October 7th 2007. s/v Lady Ann
