Is Montenegro the next Croatia?! Montenegro is well worth a visit, and many of the military areas previously closed off are now open and welcome yachts with an innocent hospitality. Although Herceg Novi is supposed to be a port of entry, in fact you have to go 2km away to check in at a very temporary looking office. Likewise, to leave the country you have to checkout at Bar which is inconvenient to say the least. Nevertheless, a most beautiful country with stunning sights, amazing anchorages, and still genuine people. Budva offers the best of all worlds: a fortified town with gorgeous rambling alleys, a lively beach resort, mountain trips, exclusive island hotels... Don't miss it.
