New regulations in Croatia to crack down on chartering have been met with resistance in the EU. Croatian officials promised to make some improvements especially in the case where a boat has more owners and for yachts of non-profit clubs. However, the government has only made a relatively minor change to the current regulations, ie the number of persons shown on the approved crew list shall not exceed double the number of persons who may be carried on board such a craft increased by 30% of the number of persons the craft may carry. That Croatian ministry increased this number by 30% only.

The offical English version of the modified regulations which are now valid can be read in the following pdf version: http://www.noonsite.com/Noonsite/PDF_Files/CroatianRegulations
