Cruising Yachts Have Own Class In King's Regatta

The 18th Phuket King's Cup Regatta will be held this year from the 4th to 11th December 2004. Registration takes place on 4th December followed by five days of racing in the waters around Phuket.

In recent years the Ocean Rover class has been included, open to liveaboard cruising yachts that do not normally race, and yacht charterers visiting Phuket who have not participated in the King's Cup before, giving them the chance to compete against similar boats, separate from the serious racers. The entry fee for the Ocean Rover class is 8,000 Baht, half that of the normal entry fee.
