South Atlantic Race & Rally To Start Early 2006

The South Atlantic Race (formerly the Cape-to-Rio) will set sail from Cape Town on 4 January 2006. In past years the event has been from the Cape between Rio de Janeiro as well as Punta del Este, Uruguay, but a new destination has been chosen for the 11th race for the South Atlantic Trophy, the city of Salvador, capital of the Brazilian state of Bahia. The Rally class is open to cruising multihulls, up to 16m LOA and cruising monohulls up to 30m LOA.
