Dates have been announced for the annual Darwin to Bali Yacht Race.

Events dates:

Captain's briefing and Bar-B-Q at the Darwin Sailing Club 16 July.

The Rally to Kupang leaves Darwin on the 24 July. The number of participants in the this event will be limited to 25 as there are limited facilities in Kupang.

The Darwin to Bali Yacht Race will leave Darwin on the 31st July.

Indonesia's Immigration Regulations changed on 1 February 2004 so that citizens from most countries must purchase a 30 day "Visa On Arrival" in Bali; if intending to stay longer than 30 days, a Social Visa must be obtained in Darwin before departure. At present the "Visa On Arrival" is not available for yachts arriving in Kupang, and a Social Visa must be obtained from the Indonesian Consulate in Darwin. The Rally Organisers hope that by the time the yachts arrive in Kupang the regulations will have changed allowing yachts to obtain a visa on arrival.
