Have you survived a hurricane or major storm?

I am assembling a book on hurricane and storm survival, having survived four major hurricanes myself on my 41-foot cutter Afaran.

I am looking for stories from others who have survived, or not survived, major storms at sea, at anchor, at the dock or on the hard.

A sample of the text and lessons learned are on my website at www.DHLyman.com.

Sailors, insurance adjusters, surveyors, marina operators who want to share a story or insight into how to survive a storm are welcome.

I would love to get the word out to the cruising community . . . .
