World ARC. Circumnavigation starting Caribbean January 2010.
Atlantic Rally for Cruisers (ARC). Annual transatlantic Rally every November from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria to St. Lucia.
ARC Europe. Annual transatlantic return trip every May from Antigua and Florida to Lagos, Portugal via Bermuda and the Azores.
Rally Portugal. Annual cruise in company down the coast of Portugal every June, from Plymouth, UK to Lagos, Portugal.
Classic Malts Cruise. Annual celebration of whisky in the Scottish Western Isles, every July.

The Atlantic Cup is a brand new Class 40 sailing event that kicked off in New York in May of 2011 sailing Newport, Rhode Island and ran under “Sailor’s for The Sea” clean regatta guidelines, and boats ran on clean power sources. Check website for details

The Caribbean 1500 Rally is the largest and longest-running offshore cruising event in the Americas. Departed November 7, 2011 from Hampton, VA. Discover the adventure, camaraderie, competition and lifelong friendships that bring crews back year after year. Ralliers will depart together from Hampton, VA and sail either 1500 miles to the British Virgin Islands or 875 miles to The Bahamas.

KAYRA - Black Sea Rally. Highly successful rally organized by Ataköy Marina Yacht Club based on the shores of the Bosporus. The rally visits all countries bordering on the Black Sea. Also organise the Marmara Yacht Rally around the Sea of Marmaris.

Since 1990 yachtsmen from all over the world have converged on Turkey to participate in the Eastern Mediterranean Yacht Rally visiting eastern Turkey, Cyprus, Syria, Lebanon, Israel and Egypt.

Gallipoli Yacht Rally

The Gallipoli Yacht Rally program includes sightseeing in Istanbul and sailing down the Aegean to the Turkish ports of Kabatepe, Bozcaada, Assos, Ayvalik, Foca, Cesme, Sigacik and Kusadasi. The program also allows for a series of up to ten races to be held and includes visits to the historic sites of Gallipoli, Troy, Pergamon, Ephesus and Istanbul.

Med Red Rally

The Med Red Rally 2011 went around the Mediterranean in a convoy of large sailing yachts, starting in Marmaris, Turkey in April and on to major spots in Israel and Egypt, squeezes through the Suez Canal and winds up in the Red Sea ending in May. See website for further details.

Annual event in late July from Darwin to West Timor, continues to Bali. Organized by PORLASI (Indonesian Sailing Federation), participants obtain compulsory Indonesian cruising permit as part of the entry fee.

Pacific Puddle Jump

The Pacific Puddle Jump rally is an annual migration of private sailing yachts leaving various points on the west coast of the Americas, but all bound for French Polynesia. Via radio nets and electronic communications they share information on preparation, weather routing, and inter-island cruising.
Because the fleet does not depart from the Americas on one single date, their arrivals in French Polynesia can be anytime in April, May or June. Due to the broad-based nature of the fleet, many of the boat crews will meet for the first time when they arrive in the islands.

Port2Port Rally

Vanuatu and New Caledonia to Bundaberg, Queensland. Organised by the Bundaberg Cruising Yacht Club. End of October every year - 20011 will be the 12th year. The rally consists of cruisers from many nations, many of them circumnavigators who use the rally as a fun way to finish their Pacific crossing, with many children taking part as part of a family adventure.

Tasmania - Biennial Circumnavigation Cruise

Run by the Royal Yacht Club of Tasmania. 2011 commenced in mid-February 2011. The five week cruise circumnavigates anti-clockwise, and typically includes cruising yachts and motor yachts from all Australian states, and occasionally yachts from the US, UK and NZ. Fleet size is limited to 45 vessels. See website for details.

The Van Diemens Land Circumnavigation

Cruise is a well-established (commencing 1990), world-class event conducted every two years or so by the Royal Yacht Club of Tasmania (VDL-C). The event is a cruise-in-company involving an 800 nautical mile circumnavigation of Australia's island state of Tasmania.
2011 VDL-C Cruise began in Hobart on Wednesday 16th February 2011 and returned to Hobart in March 2011. See website for details.

SE Asia

Darwin Dili Yacht Rally

Started 9 July 2011 at 1100 hours, Darwin Harbour, Australia and finishes in Dili Harbour, Timor-Leste. The course will be from the Start Line in Darwin Harbour, Australia, leaving Jaco Island to port, to the Finish Line off the city of Dili, Timor-Leste, a distance of around 426 NM.

New from the organsiers of "Sail Indonesia". Annual Sailing Rally departing from Borneo following the East passage during the April 2012 "transition" weather period. The rally officially terminates in Western Irian Jaya, however many boats go on to Darwin from around Ambon. For more information see the website.
