On the night of September 25th, 2015, a younger man in a hooded sweatshirt boarded our catamaran at 0330. We were anchored 1/4 mile offshore.
We are a large luxury catamaran and had guests on board at the time.
He came inside the saloon (the boat was not locked) and was heard on the deck.
We came up and scared him off, where he proceed to quickly paddle off in his Polynesian canoe.
We then put on our very powerful spot light and watched him paddle to shore, pick up his canoe and run further into shore with his canoe.
Nothing was taken.
There were 5 other boats in the bay and as far as I know, no one else was boarded. We reported the incident to the authorities.
