"The sailor spends his Christmas in a harbour on the hook
Caye con les, no work today, let's shell the ol' log book
The waterfront is reveling, the season has begun
The sailor spends his Christmas in a harbour havin' fun".

A SAILOR'S CHRISTMAS (Jimmy Buffett / Roger Guth) Jimmy Buffet - 1996

Whether like Jimmy Buffet you are a sailor on the hook this Christmas, or a sailor on passage, at sea, or in your armchair, we would like to wish all our followers a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Special thanks to all our incredible contributors, who without your unfailing support in the form of feedback, cruising reports and port updates, noonsite would just not be the caliber it is. To name just a few of the regulars, a huge thank you to the crew of yachts Big Sky, Totem, Yindee Plus, Wild Fox, Adina, LeeZe, Jacaranda, Yolo, Onaway, Adina, Alba, Funny Girl and Golden Glow.

We would also like to say a big thankyou to everyone who made a small donation to noonsite during 2016, and in particular those who have signed up for regular monthly donations as they use the site for their cruising. It may seem only a small amount, but your donations are helping us develop the site (more about that in 2017) and keep it running as a free service for the cruising community.

Finally, a sprinkle of Christmas wishes to all our advertisers, from the smallest chandlery to our global sponsors, yacht transport specialists Peters & May. It is you that are the mainstay of our funding, keeping the site alive and growing, and for that we are very grateful.

Noonsite has come a long way in the last 5 years and we hope to surprise you all with some great new features in the early part of 2017 keeping noonsite as the number 1 "go-to" resource for any passage or voyage.

The noonsite team, Sue, Val, Jeremy & Noah, wish you all a very Merry Christmas and we hope, wherever you are, you are "havin' fun" this festive season.
