New Forum for Travelling Families

The team behind Cruising Families having a meeting (from left to right): Lambo, Rike and Tobias

No matter if they travel by boat, car, train, foot or plane – all traveling families are welcome, even those who are still dreaming and those who have returned home from their trip.

It all started with Tobias Althoff being very unhappy with the current situation of tracking down other sailing families. There were some websites, and forums, yes,  but they disappointed by offering outdated content and hence not being very useful.

The biggest problem of any forum is to get its users to engage and produce content. So he came up with a special login system to solve this problem and to make sure the forum’s content is regularly updated. Inside the forum users can see where other travelling families are and contact them.

Lambo is the programmer mastermind behind the site and Rike is taking care of growing the community.

The three of them met in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.

Is the site running yet?

No, it’s being developed and tested right now. Also, to create a strong community, the team is already gathering traveling families from all over the world. They are invited to leave their contact details here: find@cruisingfamilies.info

How can users join?

Write a quick e-mail to find@cruisingfamilies.info and you’ll be notified before the launch of the site and receive an invitation link for pre-launch access.

How can I help?

The more travelling families engage in the forum, the more useful it is for everybody. So everyone is invited to spread the word and pass on the information to other travelling families they know.

Update 23 February:

250 Families have signed up!
Help us make it 1000 families!
And now it's time for another call for your support:

If every one of you recrutes only 3 traveling families, we'll reach 1000 families in no time. The sooner we'll reach 1000 families, the sooner we'll launch the platform.
Why do we wait until we reach 1000?

Because we really want to make the platform as useful as possible - right from the start. And the more families we have on the map, the more useful it is for everyone. The more useful it is for everyone, the more people are going to contribute to the platform.
