Anse de Sigave : Profile
Land by dinghy at the dock (wharf) and check in with customs first (open from 730am till 130pm Mon-Fri, in the French Delegation building complex) and at the local gendarmerie (immigration). Both are located at walking distance, south of the wharf.
The small harbour of Leava offers shelter in all winds except SE-SW, although the swell is constant. The alternate anchorage is off Alofi island in the channel. Several boats have come to grief on the coral reef in the harbour so one has to be careful anchoring with plenty of scope and swinging room is important.
