Lamen Bay : Profile
Both the Lamen Bay and Lamen Island villagers, are very keen on welcoming cruisers in their community.
Not a port of entry. Make sure you check in/out from one of the 4 ports of entry in Vanuatu on Efate, Santo, Banks and Tanna islands.
The anchorage is well protected from tradewinds (open to West quadrant). Anchor in good sand in 20 to 50 feet in Southern corner. Consult guides. You can land your dinghy ashore at the main wharf or in front of Sunset Bungalows where Tasso will welcome you.
Lamen Bay Yacht Club (LBYC) Tasso has welcomed yachts here for many years. He sponsors a traditional sailing canoe race each August since 2007 (started by kiwi cruisers on s/v Squid - 25 yachts in 2008). His BBQ dinners are famous.
