UK, Lymington: Bluewater Weekend 20-21 May, 2017
The Berthon annual Bluewater Weekend will take place on 20-21 May in Lymington, UK.
What to expect from the weekend:
The aim of the Bluewater Weekend is to provide the knowledge to help you make the right choice of boat, as well as meeting and mingling with experienced bluewater cruisers to share knowledge and gain inspiration, all in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere.
This great weekend rendezvous is free to attend if you register in advance.
To keep the conversation flowing, there will be an optional sailing-supper held on the Saturday evening for those staying for the whole weekend.
Show your Boat - Help inspire other cruising sailors
World Cruising Club are looking for hosts to help and mingle ashore, and boat owners willing to open their boats to visitors over the two days.
If you have been offshore cruising, or have refitted your boat with with living on board in mind, we are inviting you come join us for all or part of the weekend, to share your knowledge, experience and enthusiasm with aspiring offshore sailors. The aim of the weekend is to help those planning an offshore adventure in the future start thinking about all aspects of living the bluewater sailing dream, and your own experiences can help them on their way.
It is not about being an expert, but about sharing personal experiences. How you organised your life to go sailing, what you added or wished you had added to your boat. If you sail as a couple, how did this go for you? Did you have a budget for your voyage? These are just some of the nuggets of information we want to share with future offshore sailors.
If you would like to be involved, contact us and let us know which day is best for you; whether you want to bring your boat to Lymington and have it open for visitors, and whether you would like to be involved in any of our discussion panels.
