  Southampton (River Itchen) : Profile

Docking

The River Itchen enters the northern end of Southampton Water. There are three marinas here; Ocean Village and Shamrock Quay have 24hr access and Kemps is restricted to 3 hours each side of high water. Beware of the moorings in the middle of the river if entering at night.

This marina is on the south shore, round the bend after Shamrock Quay. Water, electricity, 5 ton crane, fuel, mechanic.

When entering the river from Southampton Water, this marina is immediately to port after passing under the Itchen Bridge. It has all services, but no shore storage.

This marina is further up the river Itchen, beyond Ocean Village, on the north shore. 63 ton boat hoist, 12 ton crane. All the usual facilities.
