Portree (Isle of Skye) : Profile

Docking

The attractive town of Portree is in a superb natural setting, being surrounded by high ground and cliffs and is the capital of the spectacular island of Skye. The main part of the town lies above and behind the harbour, which forms the centre of activity here.

The harbour is sheltered in all but strong S/SW'lies. There are visitors' mooring buoys and anchorages just east of the pier (in about 2.5m) or further over by the eastern shore (in about 4m).
