Fort William : Profile
Fort William is situated well inland at the head of Loch Linnhe, at the western end of the Caledonian Canal.
The anchorage off the pier is exposed from SW, through N to NE winds. Inside the canal is more sheltered and off Corpach Basin might be more sheltered. There is a waiting pontoon here. See Caledonian Canal for more details on the sea locks and the canal.
