This basin forms the W end of the Forth & Clyde Canal. There are no yachting facilities or services further east on the River Clyde. All facilities. Mast crane. Fuel in cans. Town has provisions, bars & restaurants, post office and banks.

Position 55°52.3' N, 005°18.5' W. A new marina at the southern end of Loch Fyne, on the eastern shore. Opening Aug 2007. All facilities, fuel berth, pump-out facility, 18 ton travel hoist, crane, WiFi and gas. Facilities building together with laundry, restaurant and bar due for completion in 2008.

Care must be taken not to stray into the protected areas in Gareloch or Loch Long. Both these lochs are classified as Dockyard Ports and come under the jurisdiction of The Queen's Harbour Master. All naval vessels have an exclusion zone around them. Not an easy entrance to find at night. Visitors' berthing is on the western side of J pontoon. All facilities, WiFi, fuel, LBP, chandlery, 35 ton boat hoist, crane, repairs. Swinging moorings also available in the bay. Ferry service.

On north bank of the Clyde estuary, across the River Leven from Dumbarton Castle. Limited visitors' berths. All facilities, diesel (in cans), chandlery, boatyard, 40 ton boat hoist, 85 ton launch/recovery trailer, shore storage (some inside), workshop units.
