Castletown : Profile
This is an attractive little town which used to be the island's capital. The tidal harbour totally dries, but the bottom is firm, level sand. Access is 2 1/2 hours each side of high water. Shelter is good, except in strong SE to SW winds.
There is a 20 ton crane in the outer harbour and fresh water on Irish Quay and in the inner harbour (access via a lifting bridge). Fuel and gas are available in the town.
