Aberdeen : Profile
Aberdeen Harbour Master Tel:+44 (0)1224 597000 (VTS), VHF Channel 12, 16 Call VTS when 3 miles off for permission to enter and berthing availability.
The "Granite City" of Aberdeen is a vibrant and interesting place to visit, but the port is a very busy commercial harbour and yachts are not encouraged.
There is, though, some provision for them at the western end of the Albert Basin. Great care needs to be taken on entering this port as the entrance is relatively narrow for the size and number of vessels using it.
Permission must always be obtained prior to entering.
