Sevastopol (yacht club) : Profile
While this port remains the site of the ex-USSR Black Sea fleet, the authorities do not welcome foreign yachts. Formalities must be completed at Sevastopol "Free Port" 3 miles west of Sevastopol.
For yachts wishing to visit the Golden Symbol Marina, on arrival in the Bay of Balaklava, the captain must contact the Ukrainian Frontier Guards (callsign "Welbot - 2") to announce one's arrival. On arrival at the port all yachts must stop first at the Golden Symbol's own berth No. 260 in customs area No. 7. Once the yacht is berthed the captain must show the ship's papers to the officer on duty.
Each arriving yacht must have a completed crew list with details of all crew members. The crew list must be stamped by each customs office on departure from each port visited en route.
