We sailed to St Croix in February 2019 and LOVED it.
You need a permit for overnight anchoring at Buck Island — just fill out the paperwork and email it to them. We got our approval in a few hours. We were too large to enter the lagoon area, so we took our tender into the lagoon / snorkel area. Don’t miss this!!!

Christiansted — too crowded behind Protestants Cay, so we anchored in Gallows Bay. Liked the town a lot.

Frederiksted — we anchored north of the cruise ship pier. The pier is great snorkeling! Try it! (Cannot snorkel when a cruise ship is in town). We also went diving with N2TheBlue a few times and really enjoyed it. World class diving!
