Fethiye - General Info
Description:
The town of Fethiye is situated on the southern shore of the bay of Fethiye Adasi and is reasonably sheltered from the prevailing winds.
Once a very small, pretty fishing village, Fethiye has grown considerably over the last 10 years but still boasts a “small town” aura. The winding hillside streets, the teeming farmer’s market, the lovely little tea shops (filled with old men playing backgammon and smoking their hookahs) all add to its charm.

Cold Water Bay has now become completely taken over by noisy party boats. Best avoided until evening. Ali welcomed us and claimed to remember our visit 20 yrs ago. Place has not changed much.

Sarsala Bay has a taxi service to Dalaman airport running 24/7 in summer for the cost of 90TL. Good anchorage on the bay and around. Great to spend a couple of weeks.
