  Krabi : Profile

Clearance

You can anchor at Ao Nang Beach and take a bus for 20 Baht to Krabi Town and request to be dropped off at Immigration. A short walk from Immigration you will find Customs. Fees are minimal with much less paperwork than Phuket. You then get a motorcycle taxi to the harbour masters office which is just before the new ferry jetty. Ask the motorcycle taxi to wait and take you back to Ao Nang Beach. That is all that is required.

Clearance should also be made with the Harbour Master even if coming from Phuket province.

Docking

A small public marina opened here in 2011 - Krabi River Marina. It is located in Krabi town, just 30 minutes away from Krabi international Airport.

A more substantial marina project, Port Takola (www.porttakola.com), is set to open in late 2012 and currently can not recieve visiting yachts. Opening date to be advised.
