 Hualien : Profile
Hualien is the largest city on the east cost. Taroko Gorge, Toroko National Park, is the principal attraction of this area. It is a good place in which to hike, or it can be seen by car. A taxi will have to be used as there is no public transport to the gorge.

The Security wharf is to starboard on entering the harbour. Look for the orange overalls. After clearance, you may be directed to the commercial wharf.

Seamen's Club Hualien Port is a non-official service centre; the club offers various services for seamen who visit Hualien port from world-wide. The services include transport arrangements, mailing, shopping and touring. The club also offers a public office with books, magazines and newspapers.
