Advise the Port Authority 18 hours before arrival. On approach contact the port authority on Channel 16.

All visitors require a valid passport expect Canadians who can enter for stays of less than 90 days using a photo ID.
As an overseas territory of France, St Pierre and Miquelon comes under French immigration rules, but it is neither a member of the EU nor included in the Schengen Area Agreement. However, the rules for visitors are much the same.
If a visa is required, note that the visa application must specify "France + St Pierre and Miquelon".
