The marina is committed to providing a safe and secure environment for visiting yachtsmen.  This is underlined by the decision to choose Guardsman as their security contractor as they are considered the most professional security contractor in St Lucia with a reputation for high standards.

The importance of providing a secure environment, where people can relax is a key priority for their management team, headed by General Manager Simon Bryan. Of particular significance are the introduction of maritime patrols at night in the marina and the inner lagoon, as well as a canine patrol in the shipyard, extra guards at night and a security hut placed at the end of the main dock.

Continuing their efforts, the marina has added further Dock-hands to its staff, this will enable them to cover 24-hrs a day, 365 days a year.  This allows yachts to enter the marina at any time of day or night as well as adding an extra layer of security. The Dockmaster can be contacted on VHF channel 16.

Despite the reported incidents, Simon Bryan is quick to point out that St Lucia remains a must-visit destination for sailors and a place like every other where normal commonsense safety precautions should be followed.
