Sevilla : Profile
Whilst the 3 marinas here are located a substantial distance from the sea, cruisers report it is well worth the effort and is an ideal port for over-wintering.
Port Authority Tel:(34) 954 247300/298271, Fax:(34) 954 247333/615548, VHF Channel 12 comercial@apsevilla.com Opening Hours: 24 hours
This port is 50 miles from the sea!
The channel is well buoyed but the excellent "Guide for the Navigation of Yachts (Guia para la Navegacion de Yates)", which is widely available in bookshops along the coast, is well worth getting for its advice on negotiating the Rio Guadalquivir.
There are currently 3 marinas, 2 of which are 3 miles from the city.
Port Control : (Port, lock and opening bridge) VHF channel 12
A new lock (2011) has been built on the approaches to the marinas and neither the newest C-Map charts nor Reeds 2011 have the correct information. See report here by cruiser Sten Engelstoft who visited December 2011, with tips on navigation.
Last updated December 2011.
