  Estepona : Profile

Docking

This harbour offers a safe haven and is approachable in all weathers. It is also a more economical base than Puerto Banus at Marbella.

Visitors initially berth on the end of the first long pontoon to port. This is not the most comfortable place to remain overnight though, as it is opposite the fish quay where the boats leave very early in the morning.

Estepona marina has been reported to not have very friendly staff, the showers are not very clean and the marina water smells from the fishing harbour. There is no fuel available or repair facilities, as the yard has been converted into a carpark.

Haulout is now possible (June 2008) with a travel lift operated by the fishing port officials.

A fishing port tax is applied to berthing fees.
