Approach is straight forward with no real difficulties but can be rough (note also that sea shallows from 1000+ to 20 metres within about a mile.
The port and city is situated 30 km west of Almeria and 5 nm west of Punta Sabinal lighthouse, in the bay of Las Entinas.
