Clearance

The 36 mile long shipping channel is through the Kronstadt Passage and Morskoy Canal. St Petersburg Radio can be contacted on 2182 kHz or Port Control on VHF Channels 16 or 26. According to regulations, when a vessel reaches buoy 19 in the approach channel, it should ask to be met by a pilot to be accompanied to the customs dock. At the moment, yachts clear at the passenger terminal, where there is a customs office. The terminal is located on the Korabelny Channel. After formalities are completed, yachts are directed to one of the yacht clubs.

Docking

The guest harbour of the St Petersburg River Yacht Club is situated in the mouth of the Bolshaia Nevka river off the Peter's Passage and it is best to obtain details of how to reach them by Tel./Fax. (812) 235 66 36 or e-mail info@yachtclub.spb.ru There is 24-hour security, water and electricity, showers, telephone and fax, and use of the club facilities. A chandlery is on site, there are repair facilities in a separate harbour, and a 12.5-ton crane.

Other docking possibilities are at the Naval Yacht Club, close to the marine passenger terminal and the Baltic Shipping Company Yacht Club.
