Sochi : Profile
Yachts must complete formalities in the commercial harbour before proceeding to the yacht harbour. All boats, even if coming from another Russian port, must clear customs, immigration and Port Control. Call Port Control on Channel 16. Yachts should moor at the customs dock to starboard after entering the harbour, or, if there is space, come stern-to the short quay in front of the Port Control building in the NE corner of the harbour. Officials will come to the boat. Outward clearance must also be completed at the commercial harbour.
The yacht harbour near Sochi's commercial harbour has basic facilities and the yacht club are welcoming to visiting yachts. There are mooring buoys laid down in the port but better facilities are those at the yacht club (VHF Channels 16 and 69, 0800-2000 only in summer). Yachts normally moor stern or bow to the quay.
