Ponce : Profile
This is a good harbour on the south coast of the island, but it is difficult to visit the town for supplies due to the four-mile walk and lack of public transport.
Position 17°58’N, 66°39’W.
A four-mile journey into town must be made to do the clearance formalities. Entry procedure is complex and takes time. Customs Tel. (787) 841-3130.
The Ponce Yacht & Fishing Club charge US $10/person/day to land a dinghy (March 2010).

The Ponce Yacht and Fishing Club has a reputation of welcoming visiting sailors. The club facilities, including a travelift, may only be used by visitors if they are not being used for work on club members' craft. Fuel and water are available.
