This small city is on the eastern coast of the island. It is a major boating centre.

Position 18°20’N, 65°38’W.

Clearance

This is a convenient Port of Entry as arrangements can be made with the dockmaster at Marina del Rey for the authorities to visit the boat to complete clearance formalities.

Docking

It is home to the largest marina in the Caribbean.

A well-run marina, protected from the trade winds and very helpful staff. Clearance and haul-out facilities, mechanics and riggers. Fuel dock and comprehensive boatyard. Robberies were reported here in January 2009.
