Docking

This harbour has all-weather access but often has an uncomfortable swell inside. Visitors berth on the outer pontoon of the small marina. Boats here are rather subjected to the wash from the ferries. The marina is inside the port on the south side of the peninsula where the town of Peniche is situated.

It is possible to moor to a buoy or to anchor in the SE part of the harbour. The holding here is good but the ground is possibly foul. There are also anchorages on the north side of the peninsular and on the SE side of Ilha Berlenga, below the lighthouse.

Yacht Clubs

The Clube Naval de Peniche has headquarters in the small fort near the root of the west breakwater, beyond the red-doored lifeboat house.
