A luxury cruiser owned by the Australian media magnate Kerry Stokes was boarded by thieves while at anchor. The thieves boarded from a rowing boat and confronted the crew. Undisclosed items were stolen and the thieves escaped. Incident was reported to the Police. (Sydney Morning Herald, OCEANUSLive)

The vessel had refuelled at Madang and then sailed for Krangket Island. Mr Stokes and his family did not arrive in the area until Sunday 5 Oct 14. He and his family had been travelling up there for years and the people up there are wonderful. He did not wish to make an issue about this incident, but it was insisted that the PNG Police were informed.
