Bodo : Profile
This port is one of the largest towns in northern Norway. It perches on the tip of a peninsula on the mainland, opposite the extreme southern end of the Lofoten Islands.
This is a good place to see the midnight sun (end of May to the middle of July).
Position 67°17.3'N, 14°22.9'E.
This is an official Port of Entry.

The harbour is generally open to the SW. The fishing boat pontoon offers more shelter than the one for visitors, but is only available during the summer (mid June to mid August).
Visitors berths alongside outer pontoon of marina immediately inside harbour entrance or off quayside if busy. If you arrive before 1700, you will be met by the harbour hostess who can arrange for key for showers which otherwise close at 18:00. (Opens 08:00 10:00 Saturday, 11:00 Sunday)
It is possible to winter either afloat or ashore here, but it has been reported that the local Customs office is not helpful regarding the procedures required to allow a foreign vessel to legally remain in Norway over the winter. Tromso is a better option.
