Alesund : Profile
This important port is one of the most attractive towns in Norway. It is also home to one of Europe’s largest fishing fleets. It is approximately midway between Bergan and Trondheim.
It is is also on the northern side of the open sea passage of Stadt. In the summer months, the Redningsselskapet (Norwegian Sea Rescue Service) provides a convoy service across this stretch of coast to Maloy.

Most visitors' moorings are on the pontoons at the southern end of the inner harbour which are reached via the entance on the northern side of the island. At busy times there may be another pontoon in the outer harbour.

Gjestbrygge Alesund Inner Harbour These guest pontoons have water and electricity. Payment is made at the kiosk by the bridge. Toilets, showers and laundrette also available.

Norvevika (Alesund Seilforening) Pb 163, 6001 Alesund Tel:+47 70125787 Well protected pontoon system with a locked gate approximately 3 kms from town centre. Winter berths may be available for visiting yachts. They also winter boats ashore
(Winter membership may be required as this is a non-commercial enterprise).
