Kermadec Islands : Profile

Clearance

These islands, situated between Tonga and North Island, may only be visited with a permit from the Department of Conservation, Private Bag 8, Newton, Auckland. The cost of a permit is NZ$26 plus tax. There is a meteorological station on Raoul Island, the most northerly group, and yachts sailing there will find they are made most welcome if they take mail for the staff. Contact Wellington Tel.
