Terschelling : Profile
This Fresian island lies east of Vlieland and is largely a nature reserve. Many of the old buildings were constructed from the washed-up remains of shipwrecks. The island is also known for the cultivation of cranberries which often feature in the fare served to the many tourists which visit.
Which ever route is used to reach the harbour, ensure you use the latest charts and take care with your tidal calculations.
The harbour is at West Terschelling which is at the western end of the southern coast of the island.
