  Scheveningen : Profile

Clearance

Yachts planning to enter the port should contact Scheveningen Traffic Centre (STC) on VHF 21 to get permission to enter. This is important since incoming and outgoing ferries more or less block the entrance to the Outer Harbour whilst arriving or leaving. If this is the case STC will normally ask the yachts wanting to enter or leave to wait until the ferries have docked or left the harbour. When proceeding to and from the Marina (Jachtclub Scheveningen) which is situated in the Inner Harbour, yachts must go through the channel between the Outer and Inner Harbour. Since this passageway is narrow and sizeable vessels from the opposite direction will make it practically impossible or unsafe to go through at the same time, STC will inform you of the movement of sizable vessels, if they expect them to be in your way.

Scheveningen harbour does not give access to the inland waterway system of The Netherlands.
