Clearance

The harbour is approached through two main channels, the south channel being recommended only for small vessels and those with local knowledge. The buoyage into Maputo is all well maintained, well lit at night, and easy to follow. Port control maintain continuous watch on VHF Channel 16. It is possible to come alongside one of the wharfs for clearance formalities.

Docking

Yachts can stay at the Maputo Marina which dries out at low tide.
