The port captain's office is on the waterfront next to the naval post. If the port captain is absent, report to the senior naval officer.
Puerto Escondido is one of two true hurricane anchorages in the Sea of Cortez it is at 25deg, 49.5’N, 111deg, 19.4’W.
There are new mooring buoys in the harbour, or an anchorage in the bay.
The planned facilities are now complete.
Despite its name, Puerto Angelito (west of Puerto Escondido) is not an anchorage; yachts attempting to enter have been damaged by rocks.
